Join the global wave of prayer calling all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ from Thursday May 26th – Sunday 5th June 2022.
For Children
We will launch Thy Kingdom Come first to our two church schools on Thursday 26th May: Benjamin Hargreaves in Accrington and St John’s in Baxenden. We will be distributing the little booklet produced by TKC called ‘Queen CJ and the Bouncy Castle’ to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee to every Key Stage 1 child. Our Vicar, Amanda, has been using the assemblies this half term to teach about prayer and on 26th there will be special Ascension day assemblies.
For Adults
We are starting Thy Kingdom Come with 24 hours of prayer from 7pm on Thursday 26th to 7pm on Friday 27th. Just sign up here for a half hour slot to pray: https://pray.24-7prayer.com/signup/01f1fe
We will also be distributing TKC Novenas to every member of the church to use to pray throughout the 10 days.
Thy Kingdom Come will finish with services in both St Paul’s and St John’s as part of the jubilee celebrations and Pentecost.
