Retired Men’s Outing – Rope, Cheese & Beer

Church Outing – Quarry Bank Mill

May's outing will be a full day out at the National Trust property at Quarry Bank Mill. One of Britain's greatest industrial heritage sites, showing how a complete industrial community lived. Quarry Bank overflows with the atmosphere of the Industrial Revolution. A visit to the cotton mill, built in 1784, and powered by Europe's most powerful working waterwheel, will certainly stimulate your senses. Retired Men’s Outing – Queen Street Mill, Walk & Worsthorne Micro-Brewery

12 July

We are hoping to arrange our July trip to Queen Street Mill in Burnley, which is a former Weaving Mill and now maintained as a museum. The mill also has two Lancashire Boilers. Within the vicinity is Worsthorne Micro Brewery which should also be worth a visit. Hopefully, weather permitting, we should be able to get a reasonable walk in on this trip.
